Faculty members are employees of the University and receive dedicated time and resources to perform scholarly work, travel to present their work at professional conferences, and opportunities to pursue specialty certification and faculty practice. Faculty promotion opportunities are available for all ranks. Qualifications for these non-tenure stream faculty positions include an earned doctorate (DNP or Ph.D.) and RN licensure in Pennsylvania. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Assistant Professor – A) An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field is required. B) Evidence of or potential for excellence in teaching, mentoring, and engaging diverse students. C) Demonstrated expertise in the area of nursing or expertise in a related substantive area. D) Evidence of potential to produce scholarly work.
Associate Professor – A) An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field. B) Evidence of excellence in teaching, mentoring and engaging diverse students. C) Evidence of sustained scholarly productivity as indicated by publications, grants, or any other validating material. D) Expertise recognized at the national/international level.
Professor – A) An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field and certification in an area of specialization B) Evidence of sustained excellence as a teacher (classroom and/or clinical). C) Evidence of sustained scholarly productivity as indicated by publications, grants, or any other validating material. D) Expertise recognized at the national/international level as has sustained knowledge and reputation in an area of specialty. E) Demonstrates sustained commitment to community services related to professional expertise.
Desired Qualifications:
Clinical experience and research interest in community health or public health.
