About Methodist Health System
Nebraska Methodist Health System(NMHS), formed in 1982, is the first health system in the area. With hospitals, clinics, a nursing and allied health college, medical supply distributorship and central laundry, Methodist Health System provides many areas of care in the region.
With four hospitals, 21 clinic locations, a nursing and allied health college, medical supply distributorship and central laundry, Methodist Health System brings the full resources of our regional network of health care providers, educators and support services to ensure you always have the care you need when – and where – you need it.
An affiliate of Methodist Health System, Methodist Hospital is a not-for-profit, 423-bed acute care hospital serving the metropolitan-Omaha area. Methodist Hospital has a 121-year tradition of providing quality health care to the region.
Performing more surgeries than any hospital in Nebraska
While leading the field in deliveries, Methodist also performs more surgical procedures than any other facility in Nebraska. The renovation of our operating suites at the 84th and Dodge Street campus will allow us to continue to meet the needs of patients from across the region for many years to come.
Only campus dedicated to women's health
In 2010, Methodist Health System opened the doors to the Methodist Women’s Hospital, thus launching the region’s only medical campus devoted to women at 192nd and Dodge. Since its debut, more babies have been delivered at Methodist Women’s Hospital than any other hospital in the metro area.
In addition to the focus on women's health, this campus includes the area’s largest neonatal intensive care unit as well as an emergency department and imaging and laboratory services for men, women and children. Learn more about our specialized care for women at www.methodistforwomen.com.
